RECYCLING

Plastics is a substance which due to its peculiar chemical composition hardly dissociates - the process may last up to several decades. Even though the recycling technology of plastics is very complicated and expensive, recycling plays an important part in environmental protection - it helps to save thousands of tons of primary raw material that is produced using exhaustible natural recourses like oil.

The join-stock company "Plasta" is one of the largest polyethylene (PE) recycling factories in the eastern Europe.

Business conception of the company - to produce high quality products of great demand by recycling polyethylene.

Quite recently the products made of secondary raw material were regarded reservedly, with distrust - today the situation has completely changed. Striving to ensure the equivalent quality of products made of secondary raw material, company "Plasta" has much invested and is investing into modernisation of recycling-washing lines, training of staff and improving their skills.

Thanks to complex technological process JSC "Plasta" converts various worn out polyethylene packages - bags, hoods, canisters, etc. - into valuable products::

    - garbage bags,
    - films for various purposes,
    - pipes,
    - canisters,
    - buckets, barrels,
    - roof tiles, plastic sheets.

What should you know about recycling of secondary raw material?

Recycling of secondary raw material starts from a conscious handling with worn out materials that have already served their function - these are mainly packages.

If theygo to the common stream of garbage, there is a risk that will end as waste at a disposal site.

But if worn out packages go to special dumpsters or other collection sites - they become a valuable raw material. Choosing this way has several advantages: environment is not polluted, exhaustible natural resources are preserved.

JSC "Plasta" purchases PE secondary raw material from physical and juridical. "Plasta" also recycles polyethylene secondary raw material from UAB "Zaliasis taskas".

After many technological processes the collected PE secondary raw material turns into semi-manufactured product - granules.
